This Somnath temple is located near the ancient trading port of Veraval. Somnath means Soma, also known as God of Moon Somnath is a sacred Jyotirlinga for Hindus.

    Srisailam :

Srisailam Jyotirlinga in Andhra Pradesh is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The name of the Jyotirlinga here is Srimallikarjun. This Jyotirlinga is situated on the banks of river Krishna. Sreesailam is important for tourists and devotees as it is surrounded by sapphires. The area is covered with lush forests. The river Krishna flows through the high mountains on both sides and captivates the mind. How many times do you want to see this beautiful scene? The steep winding roads in the hills are breathtaking. The picture of the crowd of devotees in the character of the river is pleasing to the mind.

Looking at the history of Srimallikarjun, the Jyotirlinga at Srisailam, it is said that Shivaparvati had to decide which of Shivaparvati's sons Ganesh and Kartikeya should get married first. He summoned Ganesha and Kartikeya and told them that whoever completed his orbit around the earth would return soon. It was decided that he would get married first. Kartikeya rode his peacock to complete his orbit around the earth. Ganeshji considered his parents as the earth and he walked around his own parents. Shivaparvati was surprised. He asked Ganesha, how is this earth orbiting? Ganesha replied that circumambulation of parents means circumambulation of the earth. Parents are like God.This is stated in the Puranas. So I've done this. Shiva Parvati was happy to hear this answer. She married Ganeshji first. Hearing the news of the marriage, Kartikeya got angry. He went to the Crouch Mountains south of Rusun and sat down. Shivaparvati came to the mountain of Srisaila to remove Kartikeya's rusva. In this way Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga was formed on this mountain by his succession. Mallika means Parvati Arjuna means Mahadev.

    Mahakaleshwar :
Among the twelve Jyotirlingas, the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga at Ujjain is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is said to be the holiest abode of Lord Shiva. Ujjain is in Madhya Pradesh.
Devotees from all over the world come here in large numbers to witness the Bhasma Aarti of Shri Mahakal. The Aarti of Mahakal is performed by burning the ashes of a fresh pyre. In ancient times, Mahakal's aarti was performed by burning ashes of mulva. In this regard, a story is told by a boy that in Ujjain there was not a single corpse left to be cremated for the Aarti of Mahakal. At that time Shri Lord Shankar was pleased to see that the Pandit of that place had sacrificed his son and brought the ashes of his pyre for the Aarti of Mahakal. He brought the Pandita's son back to life. Then Shri Lord Shankara gave a boon that henceforth bhasma made of Palas, Pimpal, Vad, Bor, and Kapila cow dung would be brought for Mahakal's Aarti. In this way, many secrets of Mahakal are told here. Many devotees come in large numbers for the darshan of this Mahakal.
