Arunachal Pradesh is the easternmost state of India. This state is also known as the rising region. Arun means the sun. Achal means mountains. The region from which the sun rises is Arunachal Pradesh. Most of the region is covered by the Himalayas. The climate here is very cold. The main occupation of the people here is agriculture. Potatoes are widely grown here. There are also orchards of pineapple, apple, orange etc. Many kinds of festivals and ceremonies are celebrated in the social and cultural life here. Nyokum, a festival of the Nishing community, is considered important. Arunachal Pradesh is famous for its mountainous scenery. The tourist spots here are very attractive.
Itanagar: Itanagar is the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. There is a famous fort called Ita. Itanagar got its name from these forts.
Zero: There are many waterfalls. There is a hill station. It is a boon for tourists.
Teju: A famous tourist spot in Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh. A region full of natural beauty. Lake Glowa is famous.
Parashuramkund: This place is situated on the banks of river Lohit. Here is the temple of Parashuram and Renuka Mata. Makarsankrati is celebrated here.
Bomdila: A tourist destination surrounded by beautiful natural beauty. It is famous for its Buddhist monasteries. Bhalukpang Nature Place. Handicraft Center. Orchard publications.
Malinithan: There is an ancient temple of Lord Krishna Rukmilani. Holy Hindu Pilgrimage.
Along: Both polo temples famous. There is an ashram of Ramakrishna Mission. Nature environment. Orange orchards.
Tawang: Land of mountain peaks. There are a large number of Buddhist monasteries. It is the largest Buddhist monastery in India. The famous Sela Sarovar. It is a magnificent memorial to the war.
