Trimbakeshwar_ Jyotirling

     Trimbakeshwar is one of the twelve jyotirlingas. This place is located in Nashik district of Maharashtra state. Situated on the eastern side of the Sahyadri mountain, this temple is popularly known as the Jyotirlinga of Sri Mahadev. Devotees come here with great devotion. Brahmagiri is a high mountain nearby. Which has existed since ancient times. According to the Puranas in Marathi language, it is said that 'He who has done Brahmagiri is not Yampuri'. Brahmagiri is the highest peak in the Sahyadri range. You have to climb a lot of stairs to get here. After going to the higher mountains, there the source of river Ganga i.e. the source of river Ganges in the south is the source of river Godavari at Brahmagiri mountain in Trimbakeshwar. There is a temple of Mahadev here. There is a small spring. Godavari river originates from there. After going to the high mountain, the surroundings look very charming, green trees and black lands around look very beautiful. At some distance there are padas of tribal society. On the same mountain there is a Jata temple at some distance from the temple of Mahadeva. It is said that Mahadeva met there. Brahmagiri mountain view is a bit difficult while driving but after climbing it is very pleasant. Gangadwar is situated at the base of Brahmagiri mountain.The river Godavari originates from Brahmagiri mountain and is said to start its flow from Gangadwar. In terms of tourism, Trimbakeshwar is considered to be a very important place with a huge crowd of devotees.
