Animals like Barashinga, Rangave, Bhekar, Randukar, Sambar, Ranmanjar, Panmanjar, Bibte, Mungus, Kolhe, Taras, Aswal etc. are found. Also found are birds like duck, cuckoo, pelican, sarang etc.
Kaziranga Sanctuary is very important for tourists. The sighting of rhinoceros in Kaziranga is considered as a feast for domestic and foreign tourists. Government rest houses have been set up here for tourists. Buses of Assam State Transport Corporation are available for tourists. The administrative office of this park is at Kohora. Tourism requires a jeep safari. The hustle and bustle of domestic and foreign tourists helps to increase the income of the area. The biodiversity here is very important. Laws have been made for this. The important laws are Assam Forest Protection Act 1891 and Biodiversity Protection Act 2002. It is a pleasure to see the wide river Brahmaputra and the dense forest of Kaziranga.
